With the Spring sunshine starting to make an appearance alongside the bright yellow of the first daffodils, Easter is on its way.

Whether you celebrate Easter it’s hard not to miss the home decoration that has become hugely popular to welcome this time of year.

If it’s the chocolate, the welcoming of family or the bright avid colours you enjoy there is plenty of ways to express and have fun.

Decorating twig trees with Easter eggs and hanging decorations has risen in popularity and depending on how ornate or creative you are there is plenty on offer. Designer Gisela Graham always has a collection for every season of the year and Easter is no exception.

Decorative eggs, Easter wreaths and colourful garlands are just some of the display available and depending on budget check online suppliers as there is a vast array of creative fun out there and if the children are of a certain age will love to join in.

Last year I purchased a rabbit themed cake display plate, once decorated with cup cakes and other enticing bakery treats looked great.

Faux carrots and fresh flowers with a hanging egg twig tree set the scene and encourages family and guests to just sit and take a minute to relax.

Soft furnishings in bright hues are everywhere and if cushions are your thing (particularly mine too) treat yourself to an uplifting colour to welcome the start of Spring. Ceramic ware and home accessories are also an area not to overlook as something simple but cheery after a dull winter will add interest to your home.

We ventured into Margate last week and visited the Turner Contemporary art gallery and they were exhibiting ‘We Will Walk – Art and Resistance in the American South. An interesting exhibit and free and runs till 3 May 2020, so if you enjoy galleries and are in the area pop in and check it out. Also investigated the local area as there is a real creative vibe and took a few images to showcase.

Enjoy!
